How do I set up local Ollama models?

Install Ollama on your machine. Once running, go to Mailpilot Settings in the extension, select 'Local (Ollama)', and your requests will be processed completely offline!

Does Mailpilot store my emails?

No! Mailpilot acts as a bridge. If you use cloud models (OpenRouter/Gemini), your email context is only sent for that specific generation. If you use Local Ollama, your data never leaves your computer.

How do I use my own Knowledge Base?

Go to the Knowledge Base tab in the extension popup. You can add documents or snippets. Mailpilot uses Supabase pgvector to find the most relevant context and inject it into your AI prompt.
